Mining engineers who have deployed the systems we now review.

TBOS was founded to close the gap between fleet management deployments and the operating performance they were bought to deliver.

Why TBOS exists

The same gaps, at mine after mine.

Across years of working with FMS users and project teams, the same patterns kept appearing. Systems implemented without the change management a new way of working needs. Training delivered once, at go-live. Configurations that stopped matching the pit. Network communications that limited what the system could do.

None of these are software failures, and none are fixed by buying more software. They are fixed by people who understand both the technology and the operation, and who work for the mine rather than the vendor. That is the role TBOS plays.

The team

The people who do the work.

How we work

Principles we are held to.

  • Results, measured

An engagement is judged by what changes in the pit, stated in tonnes and hours, not by the report it produces.

  • Honest about the operation

We tell a site what the data shows, including when the problem is practice rather than software, and when a fix will take longer than hoped.

  • Due diligence first

Observation, data and interviews come before recommendations. We separate configuration issues from process, capability and infrastructure constraints.

  • Change that stays changed

Improvements are built with the people who will own them, with coaching and routines that outlast the engagement.

Where is your FMS losing tonnes?

Tell us what you are seeing. TBOS will come back with a scoped review, what it would examine first, and what we need from site.
